Introduction
At the current moment in time, there are a lot of spiritual people (aka lightworkers) who are dealing with very difficult life situations. Many are depressed, feel lonely, and often don’t understand what their purpose is on Earth. To further add to the confusion, they sometimes receive guidance that they don’t have a purpose. I.e., that their only purpose in this life is simply “to be.” The reason for this is because many are part of a group informally known as the “Volunteers.”
Coming to the Rescue
At this time the Earth is going through a critical energy shift. Initially, there was the possibility that the Earth may have even been destroyed around the beginning of this century. We are now past this danger, but this would not have been possible without the Volunteers who came to the planet. The Volunteers are not a part of humanity: they are beings from other planets and places. But due to the interconnection between all there is, these beings sensed that the Earth was in trouble and volunteered to come and help.
Because the Earth is a free will zone, it is not possible for ascended masters and angels to directly interfere with the choices of humanity. So instead of direct interference, another way to assist humanity was necessary. The solution was for spiritually evolved beings from other worlds to incarnate as human beings for a single lifetime. Just the act of being in human body would help raise the vibration of the planet. And if enough Volunteers came to the planet to raise the vibration, they would ensure that the Earth would be destroyed.
The 144,000 Volunteers
These Volunteers didn’t all come at once, but instead came in a serious of waves. Presumably, the end of the last wave has already occurred. The number of Volunteers that came to the planet is often said to total 144,000.
Sometimes there is a misconception about the meaning of 144,000. This is not the total of lightworkers on Earth; it is only the total of Volunteers. There are also many lightworkers native to planet Earth as well.
The number 144,000 seems to have some sort of significance, but I haven’t seen anyone yet who fully explained it. In general, the number 12 is known to be a master number, and 12 times 12 equals 144. It’s likely that 144,000 has a connection to sacred geometry, but I haven’t seen anything yet to suggest what that might be.
It’s also interesting to note that this is not the first time that the number 144,000 has been connected to Earth Volunteers. According to “spiritual legend,” Sanat Kamura and his fellow Venetians answered a similar call to help planet Earth in a time of trouble. The total number of volunteers that came with him was supposedly 144,000.
Challenges of the Volunteers
It is rarely obvious – even to the Volunteers themselves – that they are not from this planet. Physically, they are just like the rest of us in that we all have human bodies. However, due to their lack of experience in human bodies, they may have a difficult time dealing with human emotions. Or they may not be able to express a full range of emotions. Some may have a strong sense that they don’t belong in general, or at the very least that they don’t seem to fit in. Volunteers might have an overwhelming sense of isolation, even in the company of others.
In addition to feelings of not belonging, the Volunteers have an instinctual sense not to get entangled or attached to planet Earth. After all, these beings are here only temporarily and wish to “go home” when the assignment is over. Therefore, Volunteers will often avoid having children, and may even avoid having any type of romantic relationships. Consciously, they will feel lonely and wonder why they can’t seem to find anyone appropriate for them. They don’t realize that although this might make the life on Earth easier, it will make leaving the planet more difficult.
